Polkadoodles Crafting ~Christmas Organiser

Happy Friday to you all hope you all have a great weekend
I am sharing with you a Christmas Organiser that I made
It took a few days to make but I did love the outcome.
I started of with the file from Sandra's that you can find here

I used buff card from Papermill direct as its nice and sturdy and a good colour choice for a Christmas project
Once my project was all cut out I  inked the edges with walnut stain distress ink.
I then used the lovely
Winnie Winterland to decorate
this was totally fun
Not only is it decorated outside but also inside
I filled it with bits n bobs for Christmas
Like tags, cards, bows, flowers etc
This is the inside that lifts out

and here is the drawer that pulls out
A quick look at the inside
Some cards with matching envelopes

I totally loved making this and already have plans to make another
Here is a little capture of many more photos there really is so much to see

Time for Tea ~Simply Cards & Papercraft

So delighted to see some tags I made in this months magazine ~Simply Cards & Papercraft (issue 159) ~ A snowflake is not just for Christmas - You can see my original post right here

Onto this months Magazine and if you haven't got it you really need it
The Freebies WOW!
Time for tea teacup die and stamp set
Such a beautiful teacup die that cuts so perfectly with ease
and a stamp set containing 19 different stamps!!
I actually did not know where to start, this set could be used for so many occasions.
I decided on the Valentine route , but decided to keep it in pastel shades.
I think I am a little fed up with red after Christmas
So I used a 6 x 6 blank card
Time for Tea die & stamp set
Graph'It Markers
Memento Ink Toffee Crunch

I layered up my base card, and then set to work decorating the top - The teapot has some flowers across it , I masked these of as I wanted the teapot to co-ordinate with the background paper. The teacup was die cut using the same .

The flowers were stamped , coloured in and the decoupaged to give some depth, same as the sweet little macaroon.

Tea-bag stamped and colored
I then stamped the sentiment and stamped the little hearts
Thank you for stopping by today

Winnie in Wonderland - Polkadoodles Crafting

Happy Monday from the South West where it's soooooo cold - Mr frost certaintly had his hat on today
Last week I took a break from Christmas Crafting and had another play with
It's surprising how much I miss first time round on these collections I love to re-visit.

Sandra has also recently brought out a new card file Bow/Bend I just had to try it, You can find it right here. I adore the card shape and there is a little easel for it to stand - and lovely folds flat for posting!
I cut mine on my portrait , but there easy enough to cut by hand if you do not own a cutting machine

I loved the shape it was so much fun to work with
Recently the lovely Nikky from Polkadoodles has brought out a brand new range of dies that I have also been playing with
Check them all out here
I used some lovely White Hopsack card from Papermill Direct for my base
covered with lovely paper from Winnie Wonderland , adding in a few characters and decoupaged them for added dimension. I added lots of fun emblies from the kit
I used the Ribbon Gift Frame Die to edge around the bottom (loved the effect)
I have also used

Flowers 1 and Flowers 2 (adore these they really do make fantastic flowers )added a little sequin
to each

I added in a Super sprig  (so versatile I could not begin to explain the uses)

And finally I used the Cherry Blossom die - (totally adorable)

Dear Santa - Polkadoodles Crafting

Another File I had wanted to try for ages the Typewriter,
It looked so complicated but after the Windmill (see last post)it can only be a breeze
And it really was I loved making it - After the main pieces were made it all slotted into place, It did not take very long at all and I was so pleased with how it turned out

I cut it on my portrait and you can find the typewriter file here at the lovely Sandra's store , the envelope you also get with the file (you just need to decorate) , including step by step very helpful instructions

I used a lovely Marine Blue cardstock from Papermill direct
Perfect for my project at 240gsm

I used such a mixture from Polkadoodles collections which is so fab how they work so well with each other
You can always find something new - I still do now, after being on the Polkadoodles DT for a few years now it amazes me how much is crammed into the collections , when ever I re-visit I find lots that I have missed

The lovely paper that has been typed on , is one of my favourites that is from the new Winnie Winterland. I have also used the following collections in my project

This really did remind me of being a child owning a typewriter I really wanted to whack the return carriage key lever and hear the ding at the end of the line

Pergola Card - Polkadoodles Crafting

Happy Thursday to you all
I have had tons of fun in my craft room this week
and today I am so happy to share my pergola card with you.
I cut this out on my portrait using the lovely file from Sandra that you can find in the store right here, If you love to make 3d bits its definatly worth a visit , you do not need to own a cutting machine

I used the lovely new hemp embossed card from Papermill Direct for my base , its lovely and weighty and very beautiful and perfect for Christmas cards

I covered over with papers from Winnie Winterland Collection,  leaving a small edge of hemp still showing
The main charaters are also from the collection along with the bows
I borrowed the cutie robins from Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun
The tree is from Frosted Winter
and I have used the Lamp die from the

So there you have all my links - I decoupaged some of the bits on the characters but that nasty winter weather is here which plays havoc with my camera! I also used splashes of glitter here and there

I loved the foresty feel , I did not start out with that in mind but it just grew

Door cutting Die Set - Polkadoodles Crafting

There has been lots of excitement in my craft room this week with the arrival of Nikky's lovely brand new dies
Today I am sharing with you a little Christmas card using the lovely
versatile collection

You actually get 4 dies in this set an absolute steal at £5.99
You can literally make so much from this set placing windows where you like, maybe you don't want windows , you could turn them into panels?
I knew in my head the type of door I wanted to create but as I was using the die cuts I could see so much more fun to had with these beauties!
Did you see my blog yesterday ? Where I used the Super Sprigs die?
(find my post here if you missed it)
Well I have used it again on my door card - more about that in a bit.
I matted up a 6x6 card blank with some lovely red card stock cut at 5.5 x 5.5 ( cutting the letterbox and handle in the same)  then using some white hopsack cardstock (new from Papermill Direct = Lush)
I added some vellum for the windows
and using Memento Love Letter ink stamped the number and sentiment
As I wanted the door to open I place a tiny white pearl in the handle center
I added the fun little robin from Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun

Behind the door is a lovely tree from Frosted Winter Collection
And on the door front I have added a little wreath, which has been cut using the
cut onto lovely sparkly card
A few red festive berries using liquid pearls
How cute is that!
Thank you for looking

Super Sprigs - Polkadoodles Crafting

Happy Wednesday If you saw my post yesterday you will have seen that I am playing with the lovely new dies from Polkadoodles
Today I am here to show you
I actually can't belive the price of this die £3.49

I adore this die and I  know it will be used tons and in lots of different way
I decided on a little card
I teamed it up with part of yesterdays die cut set that I showed
Bubbleicious take a looksie here if you missed it
I used the negative from the oval die in Bubbleicious to make my card front

This is a 5x5  white card blank , I then cut some lemon cardstock at 4.5 and a piece of white at 4.75
adhered them altogether leaving a little space where my sprigs would lay
A liitle stamped sentiment stamped in Memento bamboo leaves
Added my sprigs and three little lemon pearls.

I was now left with the beautiful oval, so I decided on a matching tag
Adding the beautiful sprigs, again 3 tiny lemon pearls
Popped on a grommit and added a small piece of lemon ribbon

Thank you for looking

Bubbleicious Dies - Polkadoodles Crafting

Wowser was I in for a treat
Our lovely Nikky from Polkadoodles has just started a new range of dies
belive me when I say you really, really need to check them out
Yesterday my parcel came through from Nikky, to say I am excited is an understament
You will see lots more from me using the dies in the coming weeks
so keep your eyes tightly peeled.
The first thing I noticed was the lush packaging on the dies simply elegant
also if you look on the website there are ideas on how they could be used  a little differently
I love this!
(a cherryblossom die becomes seaweed, who would have thought eh?)
You can find the range of dies
After stroking the packs of dies endlessly , I decided my first project would be a card using the Bubbleicious set - 5 dies in this set

Out came my big shot that is old and ancient , everything cutting through first time I could not belive!! I have a vast range of different dies that often need going through several times and even then the weeding takes normally takes forever, these were simply a gentle tap . I did use my metal shim

So there we are , my one card became 4 - Obviously I have made them using different coloured card/inks  but also changing where I placed the biggest die, endless possibilities.
To give you a good idea I used 6 x 6 card blanks
The oval die was adhered with foam pads
and I used distress Inks -
Milled Lavender, Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar & Tumbled Glass on flowers and leafs
Adding a little ribbon to two of the cards and finished with some little coloured pearls

For those that know me, know I am not a CAS person but I really wanted to show you the beauty of these dies
Ohhhh and before I go , here is a quick pic of my negative scraps , the flower cuts were far to pretty to bin , so a sprinkling of brusho's and a splash of water . I am sure it will become a feature on a future project!
