Hats Off ~ MDF Kit JMC Hochanda

Happy Thursday to you
I am here today to share with you my MDF hat be warned I used the brightest paints I could lay my hands on you may wan't to wear your sunnies!!
So here it is in all it's glory

This is the MDF kit itself as you can see I really built mine up and I still had lots of pieces left

JMC Designs Hattie's Tea Party - 3D Hat, 30 X MDF Elements, 2 X Topper Sheets & 2 X Backing Papers

The kit itself is so much fun and extremly easy to put together, to start of with I gave all the MDF parts a coating of white gesso
The Hat I covered with a lightish  sheet from the Paper Pack -
For the Base and the table I gave a few coats of Rust-It, for the first coat I dab it all over, I then dab on with a sponge, then a coat with a palette knife scraped  over (allowing to dry between coats) I love the texture that it gives
I then used my Shimmer Magic paints in the brightest colours I  could find
(I can't find a supplier for these it seems Pinflair have stopped them)
I gave a thin coat first , once dried a thicker coat
I did not have any yellow paint so I used Gold Buff-it
I cut out some pieces from the paper packs
And then began popping together
The base and table are a very tight fit so I did have to sand down some of the paper* You do not glue these together the fit is so snug *
Then the really fun part adding all the elements

I finished of using some spots of Nuvo Drops
I hope you enjoyed today's project It certainly looks fab in my craft room
Have a great day

My Journal ~ Page 2

Happy Wednesday Everyone
I am here to share with you Page 2 of my journal
I am so enjoying myself right now and getting totally lost in my Craftroom
My supplies for this page were much shorter than yesterdays
I used my Pink Pig Journal which is 5 x 7 " Landscape
Dina Wakley Acrylic paints in Lemon and Lime
Divine Store - Digital Image - Digi Flower Frenzy Stem
Date Stamp
I am really being drawn to Lemon and lime colours, I have used them a lot recently.
So thats where I started with this page I painted the background and then used my circle Stencil which I adore, I love making this background it really is one of my favourites
I added some pieces of torn Washi tape just randomly placing where ever , I had absolutly no plan for this.
I then printed out Kassa's Newspaper Stems , One large 2 slightly smaller and flipped one over so it faced the other way, these were all coloured using Derwent Inktense Pencils.
Once Coloured and I knew roughly where they were going I splashed black ink across the background and placed the flowers. I then added some black Nuvo drops
Finally I finished off with some white Gesso to tone it all down and mold it together
Thank you so much for stopping by today

So this is My Journal ~ The beginning

I have just had  a wonderful weekend full of fun with Felicity my 10 year old Granddaughter
Sunday afternoon after lunch we went up to our Craft room
Felicity is working on a new super release that is coming later this week (JMC Designs)
And I decided after cleaning out a bit last week and unearthing quite a few unstarted journal books that it was time!
So I gathered a few (quite a lot of supplies)
My first page I wanted to be very girly and motivational
I decided on using one of my Pink Pig books as I love the way the pages can be removed to work on - This one is a 5 x 7 " Landscape

I shall try and list all the supplies I used linking where I can~ My next page I am going to use very limited supplies
(it is already in my head)
Crafty Ribbons Lace ~ Chantilly Cotton Lace - Sylvie
Friends & Craft O'Clock ~ Vintage Bison Page
Barcode and colour chart (from packaging)
I think thats possibly it
eeekks edit to add Chipboards
I actually had heaps of fun using so many supplies I already had
The newest purchase was something I forgot in my list a date stamp , it was just a cheapy from Ebay
This wasn't a planned project apart from the two points of girly and motivational, I think I achieved that

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that you will follow me on my Journal Journey

Divine Stamp Store ~ Lady

Well how could I resist to colour up another one of the lovely Kassa's Digis
Yesterdays blogged card used the Newspaper Print stem, today's card shares the Script Stem
I adore these so much
I printed out the stem using Mixed Media card
For my background I used Acrylic paints in Elephant and White, and then used a circle stencil.
I highlighted some of the bubbles
I  reprinted the stem slightly smaller
I painted both stems using Distress Ink Picked Raspberry
Fussy cut out my second stem and adhered over the top using gel glue so it popped of the page leaving a shadow behind
The Sentiment is a stamp from Crafty Individuals Ladies & Gentlemen Set
