Hats Off ~ MDF Kit JMC Hochanda

Happy Thursday to you
I am here today to share with you my MDF hat be warned I used the brightest paints I could lay my hands on you may wan't to wear your sunnies!!
So here it is in all it's glory

This is the MDF kit itself as you can see I really built mine up and I still had lots of pieces left

JMC Designs Hattie's Tea Party - 3D Hat, 30 X MDF Elements, 2 X Topper Sheets & 2 X Backing Papers

The kit itself is so much fun and extremly easy to put together, to start of with I gave all the MDF parts a coating of white gesso
The Hat I covered with a lightish  sheet from the Paper Pack -
For the Base and the table I gave a few coats of Rust-It, for the first coat I dab it all over, I then dab on with a sponge, then a coat with a palette knife scraped  over (allowing to dry between coats) I love the texture that it gives
I then used my Shimmer Magic paints in the brightest colours I  could find
(I can't find a supplier for these it seems Pinflair have stopped them)
I gave a thin coat first , once dried a thicker coat
I did not have any yellow paint so I used Gold Buff-it
I cut out some pieces from the paper packs
And then began popping together
The base and table are a very tight fit so I did have to sand down some of the paper* You do not glue these together the fit is so snug *
Then the really fun part adding all the elements

I finished of using some spots of Nuvo Drops
I hope you enjoyed today's project It certainly looks fab in my craft room
Have a great day
I would like to enter this into
