This week our Challenge is ...... Time for tea

Well you certainly cant beat a bit of Polkadoodles our fab sponsor this week along with time for tea, a perfect match! And just look at those colour palettes on the challenge blog for inspiration, I used the first one. I used the wonderful Barista digi that you can find instore here. Dhe is also part of the Work & Play 12 ,where you can find the scrummy paper that I used along with the sentiments and flowers - I used a little detail sparkle to finish

I layered up the sailing boat several times , so in real life it really pops of the page,

I added in a couple of characters, and the paper used on the Sailing Boat and the waves paper 

these were from Work & Play 4 Collection - The Characters are also available as individual digis - Diving and Swimming Girl - What a pair of cuties!

For the fish, lighthouse, sentiment etc I used the fantastic collection Bonbon Belles, probably one of my favourite ever collections 2 CDs packed jam full!!

Tetra Colours - The Pencil Case Challenge

The Pencil Case 

where we are using

 Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour Pencils

Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour pencils are available from Jacksons and other good Art & Craft stores across the UK.

So let's get to the challenge!
T.......................Tetra Colours

 I used the lovely Oddella with bag this week , she is from our lovely sponsor Polkadoodles and you can find her here. My colour choice was Pinks/Purples and I think the colours suited her. The Paper, Butterf;y and dragonflies were also from our sponsor they were from the Dollie Daydream goes East collection

The colours used are

Skin 30, 31, 32, 92, 94

Pinks 21, 24, 27, 29, 93, 94

Purple - 34, 36, 41, 94

For my second creation I have used the wonderful butterfly from Polkadoodles, it can be found on the Winnie Fruit Punch collection. The papers again from Polkadoodles  Dollie Daydream goes East collection

The colours used are

Pinks 21, 24, 27, 29, 93, 94

Purple - 34, 36, 41, 94

I then sprayed lightly over with iridescent spray and sparkle was a little worried how it would dry over the pencils but it dried fab! and gave the butterfly a wonderful sparkle

Happy 7th Birthday - Polkadoodles Crafting

Wow what a really special post this is

Polkadoodles has turned 7 this month- How amazing is that!

I have been with them for the last few years and I so enjoy being part of the DT I feel so lucky.

We get to work with the most amazing images and products
So of course our Challenge this time is Birthdays

So I really wanted to celebrate this Birthday by making something special

Maybe a large cake?

I cut the cake on my portrait 

and decorated using Winnie Fruit Punch and  Lavender Tea

It was hard to take a photo but the butterflies printed onto acetate just jump of the cake.

But Alas........ The cake itself was not enough - It showed none of the pretty papers

Sooooooo what better than to have cake with a cup of tea

Inserts Tea cup and Tea Pot (both again cut on my portrait)

I used the lovely Butterfly paper to decorate (can you see the theme here) From Winnie Sugar Sprinkles

I then made some little cup cakes, just used pink and white card , the sprinkles are Liquid Pearls - Finished off with some fruit from Winnie Fruit Punch.

It was at this point things really took over as I popped them on my kitchen side to take photo's , I was pleased with it but........ No ice cream , Definatly no 7th party can be without Ice Cream, what a sin!!

This was all getting rather large now so it was time to move plans and the party now ended up being a garden party - much more room to make a few more fun things.

So here we have the Ice cream man (now he is actually the Lollipop Man from Work & Play 12 - he is a brilliant Multi- Tasker)

Along with Winnie Join Me - from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles

and 

Winnie make a list from Winnie Fruit Punch ( I just swapped her pencil for an ice cream)

Then I spotted it ........... It would sit perfectly in my garden party

Everyone Loves some Popcorn (except I did'nt have any - so I swapped the popcorn for mini mallows - one for the cart two for me , you get the idea)

This time using another charater from Work and Play 12 - Fast Food (I just snipped the straw from his drink and cut away his background)

Okay Party almost complete ......hmmmmmm need something for entertainment ......

Of course the Dinousel !!!

This time using animals from Sticks and Bones collection and 

the image - Riding High

also used a few of my Granddaughters straws ...sssshhhhhhh

Birthday Itch - Part 2 - Polkadoodles Crafting

Happy 7th birthday Polka Doodles.

As this anniversary is normally called the "7 year itch", the Polka Doodles team have embraced the prickly feeling by scratching that itch and mixing/scratching up some new images ... get the pun? Corny we know but the team have had great fun. So to embrace the “itchy scratch” the Polka Doodles team have thrown caution to the wind and “scratched up” a different kind of birthday celebration.

The birthday celebrations will be running for 2 weeks and each day someone from the Polka Doodles team will be sharing their “mixed/scratched up” image. It’s been all hush hush and secret squirrel too as no one knows who has been busy creating what and when they will be revealing their image... so the Polka Doodles team get to join in the fun too. To add an extra layer of itchy fun, everyone has also been colouring up the new “scratched/mixed up” images, (still not knowing who designed them) and they will be sharing via their blogs and on FaceBook.

We really have scratched things up ... new merged images, no one knows who created what and no one knows when they’ll be sharing them ...!

Today it's my turn to share with you my mixed up image, I hope you like her new look!

I have used the adorable 

Maddie Give us a Twirl 

but this time she has been borrowing things from Winston

She has borrowed some glasses and a hat and pinched his cake!!

The papers I used are from Octavia Moonfly The flowers and buttons also from the same collection. The really are some beautiful papers on this  collection.

Both of the sentiments are from Work and Play 12

I coloured Maddie up using my Graph'It markers,( I havent listed the colours here but if you would like them shout me)
 I adore her she is such a pretty Miss and looks so different in her newly borrowed attire.

My project turned into a wedding cake but of course use it how you wish, Birthdays, christenings etc 

I cut all the pieces out on my portrait, and popped the base together, I then used a heart embossing folder on the overlay panels (this took me a while as it was a massive search to find my missing folder - why is it always the one you want to use?)

I then found some lovely Characters to use

The Wedding Car and Bride and Groom ( although I used the coloured version from the Collection on mine) - I decided on making the gift card so it all matched in, but a normal gift card slots in there perfectly.

I cut out lots of flowers on my portrait , stuck them on and then added lots of little pearls.

Soooooooo here we go I am sharing a mixed up images today and I am not sure who designed it but it was so much fun to colour up 

I coloured Amelia and the cutie cat using my Graph' It Markers  and paper pierced the tree log using one of the papers from The Distressed Wood collection absolutly adorable , I use them lots I also used one of them for the backing paper . I used pastels for the grass, sky and wall.

The sentiments I used are from Work and Play 12 and fitted purrrrfectly for my card.

I used a blue paper from Dollie Daydream goes East to make some nice vibrant flowers to finish off (the flowers are also from work & play12)

For my with wings project I made a little post box which I cut on my portrait.
Quite an easy project to assemble and I only glued my fingers a couple of times

 I then used the lovely Lily Bug collection to decorate it , you can find her here. 
How pretty is she , I just adore all the little bugs and flowers and those toadstools!! 
I really did have great fun assembling this

I popped a few chocolate hearts inside

a little brad on the side for the shutter
