Trying something new for today

 Happy Monday , had a busy morning sorting out my paperwork and blogging some future DT bits and bobs but this afternoon I was at a loss.

Then I remembered a set I had brought a little while back and decided to pop it away as I wasnt sure how to use it

Well big knickers pulled up this afternoon I decided to play ~ If I had looked at it properly inside was a little booklet full of instructions, you just can't go wrong

So the set I am talking about is Crafters Companion Birds and Bloom, a stamp and die set that allows you to make over the edge cards. Adorable I have had a great afternoon , following the booklet I made no mistakes and here is my finished card

It's a dull day so a bit hard to catch the over the edge part so I hope you can see it.

In the set you get a few sentiments and some lovely foilage stamps. The three flowers I stamped, coloured and fussy cut out , stuck on with dimensional glue . I also stamped part of the main stamp again to give me another little chippy bird that was also stuck on with dimensional glue.

The sentiment was matted using Crafters Companion Textured Cardstock, using sticky pads too give it some height.

And finally I coloured up using Tri-Blend markers , I adore them so much

Such a lovely day today , yesterday the weather was awful, so my Granddaughter thought we should have a crafty day, So as luck would have it the lovely Julia had released a lovely freebie , she is called'Fashion Fleur' If you would like her pop over to the Facebook Group, there is also a DT call happening right now! It's a great team to be a part of we have lots of fun with the quirky images

So here is Fashion Fleur

Is she not simply beautiful, I coloured her up using a new love of mine Spectrum noir Tri-Blends. These are amazing to use . I am lucky to have the full set , I really did have a colour fest yesterday!

just had the first show with our lovely Julia is on Hochanda with some fabulous new releases

Next show is at 7.00pm

Also on the show are some Templates by Charmain from Dolly Dimples, here is another that I have made - The writing Desk

This is a lovely project to make, but it's not one to be rushed , I spent about 3-4 days making and decorating this - It's a lovely size and perfect to store your stamps and lots more

I decorated it with 

Paint It Funky A4 Paper Pad

and the stamp sets and the embellies were used

I had great fun with these the first one to share with you is the ribbon reel

How super cool is that!! The cotton reel base is actually a gift box , because mine had to travel I glued it down to make it really sturdy, This was very easy and fun to put together

A Whirlwind kinda Month

 This month has seen the family full of heavy colds that our Granddaughter kindly shared after returning to school

I have had so much I wanted to share and I can assure you my blog is going to be very lively

My first make I would love to share with you

I have used the brand new collection from Sharon Callis Arts 'n Flowers - Butterflies and Blooms

Which has been shown on HSN today *Launch Day*

These are beautiful beyond words to work with, I love them all , Normally with a collection I choose a favourite but this was completly impossible , I could literally sit and play with these all day long
