Trying something new for today

 Happy Monday , had a busy morning sorting out my paperwork and blogging some future DT bits and bobs but this afternoon I was at a loss.

Then I remembered a set I had brought a little while back and decided to pop it away as I wasnt sure how to use it

Well big knickers pulled up this afternoon I decided to play ~ If I had looked at it properly inside was a little booklet full of instructions, you just can't go wrong

So the set I am talking about is Crafters Companion Birds and Bloom, a stamp and die set that allows you to make over the edge cards. Adorable I have had a great afternoon , following the booklet I made no mistakes and here is my finished card

It's a dull day so a bit hard to catch the over the edge part so I hope you can see it.

In the set you get a few sentiments and some lovely foilage stamps. The three flowers I stamped, coloured and fussy cut out , stuck on with dimensional glue . I also stamped part of the main stamp again to give me another little chippy bird that was also stuck on with dimensional glue.

The sentiment was matted using Crafters Companion Textured Cardstock, using sticky pads too give it some height.

And finally I coloured up using Tri-Blend markers , I adore them so much

Such a lovely day today , yesterday the weather was awful, so my Granddaughter thought we should have a crafty day, So as luck would have it the lovely Julia had released a lovely freebie , she is called'Fashion Fleur' If you would like her pop over to the Facebook Group, there is also a DT call happening right now! Is she not simply beautiful, I coloured her up using a new love of mine Spectrum noir Tri-Blends. These are amazing to use . I am lucky to have the full set , I really did have a colour fest yesterday!
