Polkadoodles Crafting ~Christmas Organiser

Happy Friday to you all hope you all have a great weekend
I am sharing with you a Christmas Organiser that I made
It took a few days to make but I did love the outcome.
I started of with the file from Sandra's that you can find here

I used buff card from Papermill direct as its nice and sturdy and a good colour choice for a Christmas project
Once my project was all cut out I  inked the edges with walnut stain distress ink.
I then used the lovely
Winnie Winterland to decorate
this was totally fun
Not only is it decorated outside but also inside
I filled it with bits n bobs for Christmas
Like tags, cards, bows, flowers etc
This is the inside that lifts out

and here is the drawer that pulls out
A quick look at the inside
Some cards with matching envelopes

I totally loved making this and already have plans to make another
Here is a little capture of many more photos there really is so much to see

Thank you for looking

Create and Craft TV with Nikky

Hands up if you saw our wonderful Nikky on Create & Craft earlier at 2.00
If you missed the show you can catch up here
AND
Nikky is back on our screens at 7.00 this evening

For my first card that I am showing, I used so many bits and pieces so I hope I don't miss any out

I started off with a brick mask and used modelling paste to create a wall
(first time I have ever used it!)
I used the door die to create the window adding the fence and for the bottom part of the bird house I used the lampost die , this amazing set can be found
For my window
I used the door die
and for the inside a scene image from
and then topped with acetate
I used the lush, lush, lush Birdhouse die, and the leaf stem amazing!!
find those here
I finished off die cutting using one of the pretty flowers
I dabbed about using pearl effects Red, these are a must have for Christmas Crafting.

Then on to my finishing piece awwwww the wee little robin, actually he is not that small in real life , big knickers on I used my shrinkles again I love this stuff!!
The biggest tip I was told when using is....If you use your heat gun to shrink rather than the oven make sure its sitting on a big pile of paper to stop it flying of in different directions!
Now the Robin was'nt on todays show , but he so fitted, so much so I made him twice . He can be found in the Polkadoodles store along with a wonderful  cage and lots more goodies, check them out here. I coloured  using pencils

Thank you for looking

Dear Santa - Polkadoodles Crafting

Another File I had wanted to try for ages the Typewriter,
It looked so complicated but after the Windmill (see last post)it can only be a breeze
And it really was I loved making it - After the main pieces were made it all slotted into place, It did not take very long at all and I was so pleased with how it turned out

I cut it on my portrait and you can find the typewriter file here at the lovely Sandra's store , the envelope you also get with the file (you just need to decorate) , including step by step very helpful instructions

I used a lovely Marine Blue cardstock from Papermill direct
Perfect for my project at 240gsm

I used such a mixture from Polkadoodles collections which is so fab how they work so well with each other
You can always find something new - I still do now, after being on the Polkadoodles DT for a few years now it amazes me how much is crammed into the collections , when ever I re-visit I find lots that I have missed

The lovely paper that has been typed on , is one of my favourites that is from the new Winnie Winterland. I have also used the following collections in my project

This really did remind me of being a child owning a typewriter I really wanted to whack the return carriage key lever and hear the ding at the end of the line

I have used the wonderful Winnie Winterland collection to make my two cards. I have also used the lovely die set Ribbon gift frame that you can find here

I also think it worked perfectly along with the Die set
I added a little ribbon to them and mixed in some of the paper flowers from the collection with some others that were in my Christmas box
I used some lovely pearl card tock which is nice and heavy , leaving a boarder around the card , it really complimemts the images

I added a little bow that you can find in the collection and attached a little metal bell

Inside to match

To the red card I added a sprig of Holly, another of the bows this time with a metal jingly ball
Just look how lovely that red paper is!

Pergola Card - Polkadoodles Crafting

Happy Thursday to you all
I have had tons of fun in my craft room this week
and today I am so happy to share my pergola card with you.
I cut this out on my portrait using the lovely file from Sandra that you can find in the store right here, If you love to make 3d bits its definatly worth a visit , you do not need to own a cutting machine

I used the lovely new hemp embossed card from Papermill Direct for my base , its lovely and weighty and very beautiful and perfect for Christmas cards

I covered over with papers from Winnie Winterland Collection,  leaving a small edge of hemp still showing
The main charaters are also from the collection along with the bows
I borrowed the cutie robins from Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun
The tree is from Frosted Winter
and I have used the Lamp die from the

So there you have all my links - I decoupaged some of the bits on the characters but that nasty winter weather is here which plays havoc with my camera! I also used splashes of glitter here and there

I loved the foresty feel , I did not start out with that in mind but it just grew

Each year I do close family (about 8) special Christmas cards I always use the same theme but every card is slightly different
I made this card the other day using the brand new
I loved how it turned out so much and have decided my Christmas cards this year will focus on this one
This card is 6x6 and is a beautifully textured cardstock

The papers in this collection are wonderful , they add so much quality to your cards
I added a little ribbon and mixed some lovely flowers in with the paper ones.
Adding a little bell to the card and a jingly ball to the tag
The die-cuts used on the card are Ribbon/Gift frames and corners and the tag was die- cut using Bubbleicious frames and fancies
