Wowser the sun really is shining today ,
washing is on the line = tick
housework done = half a tick
patio doors open = tick
craft desk awaits = BIG tick
So today I have been playing with the amazing freebie gift from issue 188 of Simply Cards & papercraft ~ I have had a subscription for this magazine for many years now , the freebies always amaze me, and this one was incredible it was a Layered Daffodil die collection from Altenew.
So very simple to use
I started of by cutting out my tag using my portrait and using a small punch punched a hole for my ribbon.
I then used Distress Oxide Inks for the background ~ (Keeping to lighter shades as I wanted the focus to be drama on the Daffodils)
Next I used a couple of stamps from Daisy Friends ~ the Friend sentiment and the floral border
It was then time to cut my Daffodils and leafs ~ I had great fun deciding on colours and after a few experiments I went for the Black and White versions
For the base colour and the main colour I cut these both in White cardstock and edged the Base piece slightly with Black Soot Oxide Ink
The stamens and top part were cut in Black cardstock.
For the leafs I used White cardstock as the main parts and Black for the shadows
I shaped the Main White top of the Daffodil using my ball tool and then adhered that with 3d glue ~ In real life it has so much depth.
I stamped couple of little Bee's from Bee Nice Sentiments Stamp Pack
and finished with some Narcissus sequins from Lucy's Cards
and a smidge of Sheer Puff Dot ribbon from Crafty Ribbons tied with a little twine
Thank you for stopping by today
xx
