Life is better with friends (and sunshine)

Happy Sunday Everyone , I am feeling very reflective at the moment ~ still having those wobbly days. Although Lockdown has been tough for many people here in the UK we have been really lucky weather wise , being able to sit in the garden a lot , having windows open . I know the garden has helped me. Also our garden backs onto a field and we often see dog walkers which is good because out the front we would not see a soul we are in a little cul-de-sac with us on the end , even the postie isn't daily anymore.
Anyways on with my project this time a nice, bright and cheerful make

A card with a little tag
Products used
JMC Bee

The papers were a freebie from a magazine , and the honeycomb was a scrap left over from an older project
I coloured up using Distress Ink Refils

I've only had 2 down days which has been pretty good. I can not wait till Monday when my Daughter is allowed to come and sit in the garden , I know we have to keep our distances still but it will be lovely, so much better than shouting over the garden fence.

Its all about the tags

Happy Monday Everyone, I hope you all have a good week
For my project this time I have revisited
JMC Designs ~ Love Me Do Collection

One of my Favourite things to make are tags, so I printed some out and set aside to colour.

I wanted to make something very pretty and girly, so pulled out some papers to reflect this
I made my tag holder and layered up some papers so I could have pockets.

I added a little piece of distressed doily, some roses that I cut from another sheet, a few stickers, a couple of chipboard butterflies , a feather and some little beads. A fun way of using up those little odds and ends that are lurking. I used Distress Oxide walnut stain for edging and on the doily.
I coloured up the images using Distress re - inkers
then attached some Pale Pink Satin Ribbon  to each tag and a slice of Chantilly Cotton Lace Penny to the front of the tag holder

The images are available on the own, but with the complet kit you recieve a quirky house , all 4 girls and a page of sentiments (I have used some on my tags)

I really enjoyed making this fun project, Hope you liked it

I take a look at what I have created and think I have used lots of orange this week or lots of purple etc
This week its Blue, not because I am feeling blue but at the time of making this we are still in lockdown but the sky is a beautiful blue, I think the nice weather and being able to have windows open has really helped in this difficult situation.
I have decoupaged the cutest image , I adore it . It is a dufex A4 sheet that I got from Foil play
Farm Animals

The ribbon I chose is of course from Crafty Ribbons

It's time for tea with a canvas from me

Hello all you lovely people out there another bright day for me hopefully am getting over the days where I feel just blugh, think I just needed to give myself a good talking too lol
Anyways I am here today to share with you a canvas I made using oodles of lushness from
JMC Crafts
The goodies I used to decorate my Canvas

Although I have used heaps of stamp sets this could easily be made similar with just one or two sets, I am just having a mix it all up kind of week.

I covered my Canvas board using one of the only sheets left from my Curious Wonders Paper Pack.
I stamped up my images and printed out the little mushrooms , these were all coloured up using Distress ink refils

I painted all the MDF elements in Acrylic paints - Cold Grey (which is definatly Blue!) and Lavender. Once dried I stamped over with the little card symbols.

The four larger MDF pieces (card symbols) I glittered up.
Once everything was dry I glued onto my canvas

And stamped a few random sentiment's to finish.

Thank you so much for looking
Have a great day

For my project this week I have made a hanging tag for my craft room, I love to see some bits and pieces when I walk in , some of them are a little old and tired so I am going to gradually freshen them up and change a few bits
I started this project with an mdf tag and heart

Using some modelling paste and distress inks mixed in I made my backgrounds on both just splattering it on with a palette knife.
I was very good and left to dry over night (only a couple of prods of the finger even though i knew it was far from dry ~ yes we all do that)
I decided to use Queen of Everything , I adore her
Coloured her up in Distress Ink refils
Rummaging around I found some old wooden flowers they were actually destined for the charity shop but I painted them up using colours to match my tag. added a few satin flowers. By this time I knew exactly which sentiment it had to be
What? Never seen a diva before?
Adding a few sploshes of Nuvo Drops
Then I needed a hanger out came my Crafty Ribbons box
I used the lovely Wine Satin ribbon
Thank you so much for looking

Believe ~ Think Positive ~ Crafty Ribbons meets LOTV

Hi there, Happy Monday and welcome to my blog
I hope you are all staying safe and well
Life is very odd for me right now , one minute I am super fine the next I am crying my eyes out. Life is so very unsettled for everybody and we still have our Granddaughter staying with us goodness knows when she will be safe to go home to her Mummy. We have been told her school will not be open before September, so until then we will continue to home school, bake cakes, craft , eat far too many sweets and make lots of memories together..

So if your feeling a bit like I am then I have made you a card
How cute is that teddy he is called James and you can find him in the LOTV Etsy store right here, he was the perfect image of what I wanted for my card which was the message of Hope,
This one is pre coloured and I decoupaged him up
I also popped a smaller James inside
The sentiments are also from LOTV Etsy store and come on a big sheet
There really are some lovely images , including lots to colour I may have to fill a basket!!
I finished off my card using the lovely Ribbon from Crafty Ribbons
Organza Swiss Dot Ribbon - Copen /White
Very yummy!! This ribbon comes in lots of different colours and perfect to finish of your projects

Welcome to my Tea Party ~ JMC Designs

I was stuck for ideas yesterday I so wanted to craft but could not get my head around what to do , my mojo felt a little flat and I am feeling really tired ~ then a little leaflet popped through the door from one of my neighbours asking us to join them for a tea party for VE Day on Friday obviously safe distancing so we will each be on our own drives eating our own goodies etc
~~
So here is my invite to you , to my own virtual tea party grab a cuppa , treat your self to a cake and find out how I made my canvas below ~ I hope this gives you a smile today
~~
So that invite put me in the mood to pull out my lovely Curious Wonders Collections and have a play.
I decided on a canvas board and covered it with a lovely designed paper from
I am literally down to my last few pages so errors could not happen

I stamped out a few characters from the various Curious Wonders stamp sets
I coloured these with  Distress Ink refils and added some detail using a fine white pen.

I used a few elements from Hatties Tea Party MDF Kit
and then used some fabulous sparkly glitter on them , I love them they really do have the WOW factor for me

I stuck them onto the canvas Giving Hattie (the middle one) some backing so she really pops of the canvas.
I filled some spaces with some of the little stamps I really do like the wee little club and spades stamp.

I used some of the sentiments and then used the little border stamp , stamped a few flowers gave them glittered centers and adhered them

I so hope you liked my virtual tea party
