Happy Wednesday - Polkadoodles ODS ~ Hochanda

It's been a busy few weeks in this household. We have had our lovely Granddaughter staying,

We also took a mini holiday to Hastings, It was a lovely time also meeting up with an elderly cousin and swapping old photos and chatting about old memories, it was a bittersweet time thinking of my Brother that passed earlier this year, to receiving a beautiful photo of my Nan who died many moons ago, now sitting proudly on my mantle.

Felicity went home last night and will be back again soon to make more fun memories

While she was here I was also prepping for Polkadoodles One Day Special on Hochanda

It was a huge success with many sell outs 

The papers are beautiful as is the Holly flourish die set

The stamp I have used is from the amazing set

Love to Create

Happy Sunday

I am happy to be here today to share with you a project I made for the Love to Create Mixed Media team.

I have had a little dabble in mixed media and I must admit to loving it so big gal's knickers on I decided to try adding more textures etc

I started out with a thick chipboard tag and used Gesso them some metallic ice blue paint.

I used a little corragated card and painted that metallic Bronze , wasn't sure if was was the right colour for sand but it sort of worked, splashed about a little white paint

I used textured paste and used the stencil

Accents Stencil

I then used Distress Oxide inks and coloured over my tag 

The stamp sets I used are

Tropical Underworld

&

Wish you were here

I also used some cheesecloth on the tag I left it white but the tie I coloured with Distress ink.

I used and painted bits and bobs of little shells, string etc 

Sprinkled on some sequins 

I used a button on the tie

I really enjoyed making this and I am hoping my mixed media is off to another level

to share with you my little Robin house

He is such a cutie

I stamped him out then used the matching die

I used lots of the stamps from the ODS

and all were coloured with Graph'It Markers

It was such a hot day when I made this my markers were drying before my eyes making blending near on impossible

For the roof I used snow text texture paste

I also used the poinsettia die

Also using the Paper Packs

Wowser what news........ Our Nikky from Polkadoodles is on Hochanda One Day Special

which means lots of Polkadoodles shows and fun - It kicked off lastnight at 6.00pm &  8.00pm and then more shows live today

I was very honoured to take part in sample making for ODS

and have had such great fun playing with all the new products

My first one to share with you today is my igloo

The igloo template  is from Sandra's

I adore this , it takes a while to put together but totally worth it , I cut out a door for a tea~light , but you don't need to do that

I used a really thick glitter card for the base and dusted round with distress ink

Then came the absolute fun part ~ decorating

I used the lovely Dies

Polkadoodles ~Hochanda ~ ODS

Soooooooooooooooo excited to be on the sample making team for Polkadoodles Hochanda one day special. We have had so much fun behind the scenes preparing

All the new goodies are sooooooooooo lovely

So we kicked off at 6.00pm, there is another show later at 8.00pm and then some more tomorrow

Make sure to tune in , you will see some ubber cute makes along with some fab demo's!!

So for my first make I decided on a fun stocking

The template is from the lovely Sandra's store

Totally love the robin I used , he is just the cutest

Available as a die and stamp set

I used the die and cut him out in felt which was great fun and a little different , I gave him lovely rosy cheeks using a alcohol marker

I also used the new Holly Spruce die cutting the holly also out of felt

and I have used one of the new  Paper pads

How lovely are those papers

I also used white felt for the top of the stocking

and faux stitching around
